Linden flowers have long been known as sunlight-hiding flowers. The leaves of this tree bloom from early spring until autumn. It is grown in forests, shrubs and especially in oak and beech areas. Agrotourism “Rruga e Mullirit ” is a new destination in Reç area where besides the traditional local fresh foods you can also enjoy the view and observe the linden flowers.
Linden tree grows up to 25 m tall, deciduous, with simple symmetry and its root system is well developed. Numerous cities in Albania have decorated the parks and streets with this graceful tree. This tree requires rich and deep soils. Harvesting is done by hand or with scissors and it should be kept in mind that no more than 60-70% of the flowers should be removed. Linden flower has been used in traditional folk medicine of many civilizations in the world. The dry linden flowers can be used to prepare linden tea, which is tasty and strong in flavor. If it is combined with honey, it helps blood flow and creates a perfect composition for combating headaches.
